James Wing Woo is a martial arts master with more than fifty years of teaching under his belt.

His lifelong mission is to refine and perfect the James Wing Woo method of martial arts.

Sifu Woo always has something new to teach and inspire his students.  Sharp-eyed and keen-witted as ever, he continues to teach daily classes in Tai Chi and Kung Fu at a spacious gym he built in 1988, in the back of his home in Los Angeles.

As he says, “You never stop learning, no matter how old you are.”

  1. Sir, I believe you are 88 years old, great to hear of you
still teaching and learning. Myself, I am training in kenpo karate, a mere 38 years. I was looking up Ed Parkers history
Ihave heard your name, decided to go looking. Your reputation as a Master of your Art arrived here in Ireland.
    30.40 years ago.
The Kenpo I learned included what we call form 4 in days gone by. I believe it is a form you taught, our version I believe bears little resemblence to what you taught,
in any case, nice to hear you still train Sir

  8. Well to me Martial Arts means respect and discipline. I have
trained in different Martial arts now for well above
21 years. I have seen various people stick around but one more thing that I
have noticed will be the respect and discipline that has definitely changed
    those peoples perception of life.
Infants that have started that might be on the wrong
side of the tracks, always in trouble and no idea
how to respect other kids. Put them in a controlled environment with discipline and fighting and they soon start to understand.

Martial arts is one method for teenagers and adults to get rid of their aggression without
    hurting or bullying anyone.
